- Understand what social norms are and how they play a role in society.
In this module of the course we will cover:
- Understand what a learning disability is and how they can develop.
- Understand the most common types of learning disability.
- Consider how this can affect people’s personal and family relationships.
In this module of the course we will cover:
- Learn to identify a number of different mental health disorders.
- Understand what can cause psychological issues.
- Understand what a sleep disorder is and how it can be treated.
In this module of the course we will cover:
- Understand the different treatment methods used by psychologists.
- Learn the four common classes of prescription medication that can be used to
treat mental health conditions. - Understand the aims of different types of therapy.
The final assessment test is an online interactive examination containing 50 questions to be completed within a 60 minute time frame.
The final assessment will contain questions from all modules and topics covered within the course.
The results from the final assessment test will count 100% towards the final grade for the course.
